A few days ago, the wonderful admin (Squigglee) at Moola.com told us of an upcoming enhancment to the wheel. The upgrade will increase the minimum booster amount on the wheel based on your position on the tower. The higher you are on the tower, the more money you make from the wheel.
I personally think this is a great upgrade for both Moola.com and it's members. For us members, the benefit is obvious, we have the opportunity to make more money. For Moola.com, the benefit of this new feature is that it will keep it's members from cashing out so often or so much. Thus, Moola will be able to keep more of the money it has earned (at least until members reach a point they are willing to cash out again).
Actually now that I think of it, the amount of money you would get for keeping your balance on Moola.com does not justify the new minimum boosters. But I guess any increase is a good increase.
Edit: Two commenter's pointed out a few facts that I missed when looking over this new addition.
1. Those below $5.12 will have their minimum spins reduced to one cent
2. A majority of the members are probably below the $5 mark (no evidence to back this up)
3. The lowering to $0.01 actually means that Moola is actually finding a way to give less money away.
I apologize for missing this point since when looking it over. I looked right at the bonus I would receive with my current balance.
You can read Squigglee's entire post below (I edited the post to include a table instead of just text):Moola is in the process of developing a new *trial* feature which will give you bigger Search and Win rewards as you climb higher up the Moola Tower. The higher your level, the more you will be eligible to win on the Booster Wheel. We hope to implement this new feature in testing mode next week so feel free to post your feedback!
Here's how it will work:
--------------------
Each level of the Tower will be eligible to receive a minimum amount on the Booster Wheel. Currently, everyone's minimum booster amount is 2 cents. Moola's new Search and Win boosters will change this minimum amount depending on your level (ie. If you have 8 cents in your account, you are on Level 3).Your Level (account balance range) Your Minimum Booster* Up to Level 8 ($0 - $5.11) $0.01 Level 9 ($5.12 - $10.23) $0.02 Level 10 ($10.24 - $20.47) $0.03 Level 11 ($20.48 - $40.95) $0.04 Level 12 ($40.96 - $81.91) $0.05 Level 13 ($81.92 - $163.83) $0.06 Level 14 ($163.84 - $327.67) $0.07 Level 15 ($327.68 - $656.35) $0.08 Level 16 ($656.36 - $1310.71) $0.09 Level 17 ($1310.72 - $2621.43) $0.10 Level 18 and above (>$2621.44) $0.25
... more levels may be added and these amounts are subject to change (since this is still a trial feature). In the meantime, feedback welcome!
* The minimum booster is the lowest amount you can possibly win using Search and Win. You will still be eligible to win all amounts greater than this amount, but any amount lower than the minimum won't be shown on the wheel.
Instead of risking your entire balance on one big game, or cashing out your entire balance, make sure to leave enough in your account so that you can earn more using Search and Win!
Note: Moola plans to continue adding benefits for those who maintain their account balances -- so there are even more reasons to climb higher up the Tower!

$9000 Spin
The admins mentioned a little after I joined Moola that someone will be hitting the $9000 spin soon. Little did I know, soon meant about 6 months. But someone did finally hit the $9000 search and win booster. Right now, the only proof we have is that the spin showed up on the event feed. I hope that Form22 (the member who hit the jackpot) will post in the forum soon.
Here is a screenshot of the feed that NeedLotsOfMoola posted on the forums (I cut it down to size for the blog). Congrats to Form22 for hitting the big one. I haven't seen the guy post on the forums yet, but most likely he is way to happy to even bother.

Guide: Search & Win
Round and round it goes, where it stops... Nobody knows!
The First thing you should know about the wheel is that before you even press the button to spin it, the system already knows what the results will be and has already added that spin to your account. In fact, you do not even need to press the spin button to receive the bonus. So in other words, the out come is predetermined. So for those of you who experience the wheel disappearing before you get a chance to spin it, don't worry, your money is safely tucked in your account.
The wheel (a.k.a. Wendy) is a little added bonus for the members (not to mention another way for Moola.com to make money). Some people base their earnings in Moola off just spinning the wheels and not playing any of the games. It is a slow process but you will gain money with each spin. There is also the chance of you hitting the $9000 mark.
Don't confuse the Search & Win wheel and the "Poor man's wheel". The difference is that the search & win wheel is reached via the search function and it also has higher possible results. The "Poor man's wheel" shows up randomly after you lose all your money and request a new penny.
Why spin the wheel?
How do you get the wheel? From what I know, it is pretty random. You are supposed to have up to 4 chances to spin the wheel during a 24 hour period, but recently a few members have been spinning the wheel more then 4 times a day.
As long as you search for something legit (not gibberish) and space out the time between spin, then you should be able to get the wheel. From the posts in the forums and from my own experience, the closest times between each spin is about 20min. My suggestion is to do a search every few hours. There are no specific words that will bring up the wheel even though some would like to believe so.
To my knowledge, the highest amount won from the wheel as of this posting is $100. But the Admins have been stating that the $9000 should be hit by someone in the near future (the coming year). Basically I suggest that if you do not plan on playing the games, you can just spin the wheel every now and then and hope that you are one of the lucky ones.
